SYRIA, QARA : The remains of Syrian Christian priest Boulos Tarboush, who died in 1960, are strewn on the ground on November 30, 2013 after his grave at the church of Saint Michael in the Syrian village of Qara was allegedly descecrated by radical rebel fighters who were driven out in late November 2013 by pro-government forces in the predominantly Christian region of Qalamoun, north of Damascus. The Syrian army has already captured the towns of Qara and Deir Attiyeh, as the regime seeks to encircle the rebels in the Qalamoun region and sever opposition supply lines across the nearby border with Lebanon.
