..."You can stop by the art room to see me..." Those were the words of Sami.
As I approached the room I could see her leaning forward in her chair engrossed in painting a mountain scene on a clay pot. She looked up as I entered and smiled warmly at me saying "I was wondering if you would be coming." I ended up spending over an hour just listening to her speak of her art, her children, her life in the mountains of Colorado, her time in the Military, where she worked on the engines of the Marauders and painted the nose art on many of the planes, before marrying and raising 4 boys and 3 girls, before entering the residence where she now resides.
There are over 50 residents...each one has a story, a story of a life lived, this is just one.+
